Got the Giggles

Dress: Bettie Page Clothing

Cardigan: Cocolatte

Shoes: Zu

Really, who could wear a red and white polkadotted dress, and not have a fun day? If it looks like I’ve got the giggles it’s because I do.

I wore this dress to a (reasonably) important work meeting, which proved much less onerous than I’d dreaded, and then – even more importantly – I wore it to go to the premiere of the Leah May Shop’s new winter line.

Leah May herself is officially a total sweetheart, and having seen her beautiful clothes first-hand I’m even more convinced I need to add a few items from her custom-made shop to my wardrobe!

I’ll be doing a proper feature on her later this month when the new range hits the website, but suffice to say that I saw at least four things that would be very at home in my wardrobe. VERY at home.

Brooch: We Are Large, People

Earrings: Le Petite Bonbon

  1. This outfit looks AMAZING on you. Absolutely gorgeous. Love the cinched waist look with the cardi. Sooooo pretty.

    1. Thanks Femma – I only have a point-n-shoot myself, but since I moved in with The Sophisticate I’ve been able to borrow his big DSLR for the blog, hurrah!

  2. I don’t remember how I got here but I’m sure glad I did. 🙂 Your outfits are just lovely and this one in particular is so fun. I don’t blame you for smiling.

  3. Beautiful outfit Lilli, I need a red cardigan just like that one! You’ve been hitting it out of the park lately!

    1. My very definite pleasure! It was so, so, lovely meeting you and the girls. I’m looking forward to having my own Leah May piece to add to my frock collection!

  4. I adore this dress! I have done ever since you did the changing room pic of it. Its fabulous. I would love to be able to pull off a white dress but I am a messy person and would be bound to ruin it by dropping found down it!

Evans have a similar one at the moment which I am tempted to buy http://tinyurl.com/6bfs765

    1. That’s lovely, Monkey. I’m pretty messy myself. Usually the dress manages one wear before it has to go into the wash again! The red polkadots are gradually turning pink!

    1. Thanks, Kate – I had to have the dress hemmed because it was a bit too long beforehand. This is less authentic, but much more wearable 🙂

  5. Lilli, by far this is one of the funnest outfits I’ve seen you wear. All the way from the gorgeous polka dot dress to the brooch, it is just a gorgeous ensemble! I love this cardi! There’s something about a red cardigan that stops me in my tracks. I love the pop of color!
