This dress is the perfect combination of two of my favourite Eliza Parker dresses: The gorgeous full skirt and wide scooped neckline of the Monaco, coupled with the berry-red and ultra-wearable jersey of the Geneva.
On me (and my f-cups) the neckline isn’t quite modest enough to wear professionally, but it’s a great going-out dress. The fool-proof fabric means that even after hours of sitting down the dress still looks as good as it did fresh off the hanger. The full skirt is made for dancing, and look: pockets! Good deep ones you can keep your phone, lippy and cash in without any worry.
I teamed it with my gorgeous wedding hair clip from The Honeycomb which turned out to by the perfect shade of berry red.
And also this new necklace which I picked up on a shopping trip with my friend Barb. I didn’t really NEED it, but at $20 it was hard to say no!
This is my favourite EP dress on you so far. I like the neckline on this one on you as I think the higher necklines make you look quite ‘matronly’ for want of a better word. In other words I think the higher neckline make your chest look even bigger than it really is. But I get that it is a professional thing.

Thanks for the post. Lovely dress and lovely with the headpiece. I have been thinking obsessively about this dress! How would you describe the weight of the fabric?
I have this dress too (in this colour) and I would describe it as fairly light weight. However it is fully lined (except the sleeves) so it ends up feeling quite substantial and bumps and things look nicely smoothed out. The fabric isn’t like t-shirt jersey as it has a slight sheen so for me it’s more of a going out sort of fabric (but I’m possibly a bit weird about things like that!!). It’s definitely very well made and flattering.

The jersey itself isn’t too heavy, but like Lizzie said, it’s lined, so it’s not clingy or flimsy. Or see-through!

Have long wanted to try an Eliza Parker dress but am always worried about how well I would wear stretch jersey fabric. I always get so unbelievably hot in stretch fabrics (especially non-natural blends) I tend to just go for the cotton and linen fabrics.
Yeah, I’d always go a natural over a synthetic, but there’s something very EASY about stretch jersey (especially for someone as ironing-phobic as I!). Long time reader – first time commenter!! Firstly I would like to say I LOVE your blog and your personal style – I hope just a little bit rubs off on me. Over time I have looked with envy and desire at your Eliza Parker dresses – they always look so flattering AND comfortable AND stylish. Last night I decided to take the plunge and ordered two dresses! They had 25% off everything and both the dresses I ordered were on sale as well (Savannah in teal and Verona in violet) – it was just under $200 for both dresses and postage – not bad! I am pretty excited now – I hope they come quickly! Thanks again for introducing us to what is out there when you go looking.
