Dear, oh dear. I’m not a well cookie at the moment and I spent most of the weekend in bed feeling like my head might explode and sort of half-hoping it would.
The Sophisticate and I ventured out on Saturday evening to see the long-awaited talk from the Prince Of Swimwear himself, Stephen Fry,Β which was marvellously funny but completely exhausted me.
Regardless – this is what I wore for my extremely brief foray into the Great Outdoors this weekend… hopefully I don’t look too much like someone whose sinuses have reached breaking point!
If I’m looking chipper it’s probably because I got an awesome new brooch from my adorable housemate:
It says reading is sexy, and yes… yes it is.
I’m loving having housemates – the two that I have are too wonderful for words, and if I’d known what jolly good fun it was going to be I’d’ve booted my ex out years earlier. On top of everything else (him: crazy about movies, mad book collector; her: stylish shopaholic, excellent photographer; both: friendly, tidy, sociable, funny, etc etc) they’re mad about Suki. And I suspect Suki’s a bit mad about them. I can’t imagine anyone but Bosun getting away with this.
Stephen Fry was fantastic wasn’t he? You’re outfit is adorable as per usual but I must say that video of Suki is absolutely hilarious.
Hi Sarah he was great fun – I hope he comes back again soon! Were you at the matinee, or the evening session? I love the video of Suki too – it always gets a giggle out of me π
i love the brooch, too cute. you look lovely! can’t tell you’re sick at all.
Aw, thanks Bronny π
That is a gorgeous outfit, I love the jacket (kind of surprised it’s from Dotti!).
Meanwhile OH MY GOD the Suki train! CLASSIC! My sister used to do that to her pet ferrets and they loved it, but I can’t imagine any of the cats I’ve ever known putting up with that!
LOL, I can’t imagine anyone but Bosun being able to get away with doing it to Suki! Yeah, the jacket’s from Dotti – I normally wouldn’t ever darken their doors – what with them only going up to a size 14 – but with this being open and all, it’s a reasonably flexible fit.
The video is so funny! My husband is going to enjoy watching that when he wanders in later. My cat would claw your eyeballs out. Hilarious!
Your outfit is gorgeous.
xx
LOL, it always makes me laugh Toni!
Thanks for commenting π
Oh wow! Your cat is amazing! My kittty is rather fond of that too…but only when he’s in a good mood π Your outfit is pretty splendid also!
Another freak cat, Sophie! I guess it’s probably like a full-body pat, lol!
Thanks for commenting π
No one should be allowed to look that great when they feel hideous. The brooch is brilliant and so very true!
And you know I’m very fond of all news Suki, and that video doesn’t disappoint, that is absolutely hilarious!! I wish I could get a good version of Mum n Dad’s jousting puss, it’s a hoot!
Fake it til you make it, Kelly!
I love the sound of a jousting cat! What on earth…?
Oh hai trayn kitteh!
My cats would go insane if I tried to do that to them. Seriously, you have one chilled out burmese!
Love the outfit – you always look sensational in that skirt!
LOL, I see she has lulled you into a false sense of security Kitty! She always seems the most chilled right before she goes for you!
I love the reading is sexy brooch!
Me too! So simple, but so cute.
I love that bow brooch (I don’t even have to tell you I love the ‘Reading is sexy’ brooch, do I? Okay, well, I DO)! And I love the open cardigan. And the socks. And the shoes.
LOL, thanks Veronica π
Love the cat video.
We have a shiny wooden floor at home, and the dog likes the be slid along that. She likes all sorts of unusual things. Animals are funny. π
Am loving the socks/Chie Mihara combination – an alluring (but potentially draughty) flash of knee. You need to rock that look more often! It is hawt and nobody else I see does it.
I bought a belt at sportsgirl for $2.95, which I wore today. It technically doesn’t break the spending moratorium as it costs less than a latte.
(F)Rock on, Lilli!
Oooh – good buy Sassydrcil π
I’ll be honest and admit that I’m wearing pantihose under the socks, so the flash of knee wasn’t TOO draughty, lol!
Also, I think (F)rock On is my new motto π
I have been following your blog for a bit. Now I am totally hooked. I have been overweight for awhile, and I just got down on myself. But…your blog has opened up my fashion possibilites. Besides you like to read, and you have a cat…..that is absolutly tops in my book. So…thank you for putting yourself out there….The only thing that throws me is your seasons are the reverse of mine, so I am so ready for fall to come, and you are waiting for spring.
Yay! I’m so glad you found me, Georgia π It’s these inbetweenie seasons – spring & autumn – that are the fun ones for everyone. I always get spun out and jealous reading UK & US blogs in Winter when it’s summer there and vice versa π
you have the best taste in clothing and the best sources for plus size things! Boy am i envious of the shops you have there that carry larger sizes! I haven’t found nearly as many stylish things here in the us.Thanks for always sharing such cute outfits. π
Oh Trina, we can be jealous of each other! I think you’ve got some great stores in the US. Australia’s DREADFUL!
