Up, Up and Away

Cardigan: Jay Jays

Blouse: Vintage – via We Are Large People

Skirt: Manque

Boots: Boots For Broads

I’ve had a very, very naughty week for self indulgences. First I ordered this amazingly cute polkadot blouse from We Are Large People (a plus-size vintage specialist on Etsy), but really looking at it… can you blame me? She had in a navy blue too, and I restrained myself from buying that as well, so surely I deserve a pat on the back for that.

Then, while I was at it I bought some adorable earrings. One pair went to my dear friend Fi (whose review blog you should really read if you don’t already) as a just-because present. The other pair I had to hold onto for myself:

Earrings: Le Petit Bonbon

She also has a matching hot air balloon necklace which I didn’t buy; so actually, instead of buying a top and two pairs of earrings (and, um, more stuff – but you’ll hear about that later) I didn’t buy a top and a necklace. See? I’m saving!

  1. The polka dot blouse is perfect! Great buy, especially as you do red so so well. And the hot air balloon earrings! You posted them before I think, and though I don’t change out my earrings anymore I immediately clicked through to coo over how adorable they were. And then I saw the necklace and I was so so pleased! It’s near the top of my wishlist right now.

  2. I love Etsy! I didn’t know it existed until I started following this blog…it now bankrupts me! I love the shirt – I’ve just been to have a look to see if they have another, but alas they don’t! Probably a good thing – I blame you entirely for my spending this month and we’re only 6 days in!!

BTW We Are Large People do a brilliant blog as well. The link is http://wearelargepeople.blogspot.com/

  3. You are NAUGHTY, but I will forgive you because my new earrings are the cuteness and I am totally painting my nails blue to match them on Saturday. And that is one cute blouse, but you know I’m a sucker for polkadots too.

  4. I absolutely LOVE your blog! It is just fabulous – congratulations and thanks for sharing all of your great outfits. I was just wondering how you have found Boots for Broads. Were you happy with the fit of your boots? Was thinking of ordering through them as I am so hard to fit (I am only 5foot tall and have wide calves), and as your boots always look fab – I thought I would ask whether you are happy with the fit etc. Thanks so much 🙂

    1. Hi Geri –
I had a bit of a problem with my first pair, but I sent them back to the folk at Boots For Broads and they replaced them no questions asked and at no extra cost 🙂
