In a Flap

I’m on a bit of a retro kick this week, can you tell?
I love this new hat – I picked it up last Friday at the Chitra’s Closet fashion parade and (here’s the exciting bit) I’ve been wearing it all week.
This has never happened before; as I’m sure I’ve mentioned earlier I’m somewhat prone to impulse buying hats that then sit unloved and unworn in my cupboard.
This one reminds me of a burgundy cloche hat that I used to wear when I was a teenager and less inclined to care if my headwear drew excessive attention from strangers, but it’s better – a lovely soft flexible felt that’s a dream to wear.

  1. This is a very 30's look, something like the Great Gastsby! Loved it! You know, I have a similar hat in material and color that I got from a swap party and I didn't wear it yet, but it looks so lovely that you just gave me hat inspiration 🙂

  2. Gorgeous hat! I am a bit like that too. I buy a lot of hats that sit unworn but then I have hats that I wear all the time. I am a real hat person! I just love all sorts of hats its just as you say some I feel a little odd wearing because everyone looks at me.

  3. Oh, I am so JEALOUS you can wear hats! They make me look so silly but on you they look elegant and polished and stylish. Love the vintage/retro look you are working at the moment, Miss Lilli!

  4. hey lilli, chitra posted a link to your blog on facebook, definitely bookmarking for future reference :} the hat looks great! (by the way i was the door bitch in the top hat heheh)

  6. This outfit is AMAZING. I can't believe I've never seen your blog before – but I will now become a regular reader, I'm sure 🙂
