I finally found yellow shoes! Yeah, I can’t believe it either. Actually, I’ve found TWO pairs of yellow shoes: these, which I bought earlier last week; and a second pair that – typically – I decided I liked better after spotting them on NordstromΒ this evening. I discovered to my astonishment that shipping to Australia would only set me back $20, so I’ve bought those too.
These are pretty awesome though, and I have to say, I’m mightily impressed with Milu, a hidden-away store in the middle of a CBD cement wastland called “Southern Cross Lane”. The shoes are comfortable, classic, and kid leather on the inside – all my favourite things – surprisingly they’re a bit cheaper than Wittner, and may actually knock that long-time favourite of mine of it’s No. 1 perch.
While I was in Milu I also impulse bought a pair of scalloped-edge flats called “Tiger Lily” which were instantly comfortable and have been on regular rotation since they came home.
A subdued navy blue, they don’t look like much against the pop of bold, patent leather yellow of the “Chica” but they hold their own.
Love the shoes!! π I also love all the photos you post, I must ask, does someone take your photo every day for you?
LOL, no I get all shy when there’s someone behind the camera, so I usually just set up a tripod and a timer
I had no idea! You do a great job Lilli. May I suggest looking into a wireless remote for your camera (if one is available) as that would allow you to take several poses without having to run back to your camera in between takes π
LOVE these shoes. I have a pair of mustard yellow flats that I love, but they’re a bit impractical for a city where it rains 10 months out of the year. =) I may have to see if I can find these yellow shoes of which you speak on Nordstrom’s site, though!
Hey Kelsey – If you click the “Nordstrom” link it should take you through. They’re called “In the Winners Circle” by the brand BC Footwear π
The shoes are lovely, and so are you!
The blue flats are so cute. I will have to visit Milu.
Do you know what the US shoe sizing is equivalent to here?
I’ve always treated it the same as ours, but I don’t think it’s standardised. Do you know your European size? I wear a 39 EU, an 8.5 here, and usually between an 8 and a 9 in the US
Yay!
I wish you would do a shopping tour of Melbourne!
oo I love those shoes! I’ve been loving the bright colours around this season. I just recently got a pair of suede bright orange Tony Bianco’s myself. Platform of course, heels from Tony Bianco make even the most balanced want to topple over.

p.s. only one more day to enter the giveaway on my blog!
Shoes are cute-but I like the dress even better!
Hi! What a lovely dress! Thank you for the link to Milu. I have just spent a happy half hour on their site – I have size 35 feet and find it very difficult to find anything decent (especially in Canberra), and even online. That’s why I’m also a Wittner fan – they make a 35 in most styles – and now of Milu too! Thanks!
Those shoes are divine, I love your style! xxx
Oooooh! Gorgeous yellow shoes, Lilli. They look great with that dress. The blue shoes are pretty fab too.
I’ve never heard of Milu but a quick look at the website tells me there is one in Sydney…I’ll have to pop in for a look some time this week π Thanks for the link.
BTW if you shop online with Milu and use the discount code 12000fans you currently get $40 off each pair ordered.
Oh GOOD one, Jo!
I’ve been looking for yellow shoe as well so thanks for the heads up! I’ve never heard of Milu and these look great. Can you let me know how they fit and how high is the heel?
Love you blog.. your outfits are amazing <3
Hi Kay, they’re pretty tall (for me, anyway) – about 9.5cm tall. They fit about the same as Wittner. I bought the size 40, and I usually wear a 39 or 40 at Wittner too.
oh wow this dress is GORGEOUS it looks fabulous on you and the yellow shoes are beautiful such a cool match. There are some really really cool cruelty free shoe shops online they have the trendiest shoes and are very very good quality, they even can use products now that replicate the Kid leather so the Kids (literally baby animal) don’t have to die, maybe check them out too, one is called Vegan Shoes I know it doesn’t sound cool but they have some great stuff
Hi Linda – The other shoes that I bought are vegan, actually! From BC Shoes π
Hey Lili, what’s up?
I’m from Brazil and just found out about your blog. I’ve been going through your posts and just loved everything you wear! I love your vintage style, with pretty dresses and very feminine-looking shoes and accessories. I’ve read some of the articles about your blog, and thought they were pretty cool! Gonna come up here more often =)
xoxo
Yay! Thanks Nina – I’m glad you found me. Thanks for commenting π
I have been searching high and low for the perfect yellow flats, but not had any luck yet. Those blue ones are perfection though! Love your dress too. I am so obsessed with yellow vintage prints… So pretty and sunshiney!
I saw some lovely looking yellow flats in a shop on Brunswick Street – If I can remember the brand I’ll let you know!
love your yellow heels !!!
