Every so often there’s a company that surprises you. Sportscraft is one of those companies for me. As a general rule their clothes are functional and well-made, but – let’s face it – boring. Then once in a while they release something that simply takes your breath away.
This photo severely does not do justice to this beautiful skirt – it’s a light tweedy material with a gorgeous pleated panel of embellished silk at both the front and the back of the skirt. I saw it in the window of a Sportcraft Clearance Shop about three years ago, and knew I had to have it, regardless of the price. Which was astonishingly reasonable, if memory serves.
It’s one of the items in my wardrobe that never fails to elicit a response from people, and I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. Which just goes to show that if you give them a chance and keep your eyes peeled – the best outfits can appear out of unlikely places.
Ooohh, I haven’t been into Tempt for a very long time. I assumed their clothes would only go to a small 14 or something like that. But maybe I was wrong 🙂
Love the blog
Love the fashion
Love that skirt!!!
Thanks Tara! I’m so pleased you’re enjoying the blog – I’m still a bit new at it!
