My Mum’s been bucking the trend of “only hippies wear hemp” since she first discovered the Melbourne Hemp stall at the Suzuki Night Markets a few years ago.
They’ve got quite a collection of extremely wearable – and not at all tie-dyed – hemp & bamboo clothing on the offer, so during this visit and in anticipation of the aforementioned grey-power trip around Australia, Mum snapped up a few new hemp tops, including this cute, navy scoopneck tee with the button detailing.
Looks fantastic! I remember being able to buy hemp fabric at Lincraft about 12 years ago – it came in the most beautiful colours! I bought some and made a mustard yellow top. it was beautiful to wear, and didn't get as cruchy and stretchy as linen.
