Dress: Stop Staring
Shoes: Naturalizer
Ooops. Sorry folks, I know this one’s late, but I misplaced the cable that connects my camera to the computer and only just unearthed it today!
Today’s frock is one that I bought from Stop Staring, who do some of the best vintage inspired dresses available and who do up to a size 3X and therefore earn my undying love. I had to alter this one as the bodice seemed to be for someone whose torso made up four-fifths of their height, but after going at it with a pair of scissors and my sewing machine it looks grand (and it should be added that I haven’t had this problem with any other dresses from the range).
Stop Staring currently has 20% off dresses – until tomorrow anyway – and I’m seriously tempted to indulge.
Must. Resist. Urge!
indulge! 😉 and blame it on x-mas coming 😉 or new year's eve party or whatever 😀 you look AMAZING!!!
You take such good photos. I love that I can click through to larger versions of your photos 🙂
I'm curious, how did you alter the dress? It looks quite long and I can't figure out where you took the length from to shorten the torso…
You seem to have such luck buying online.

Hi Louise, I altered the bodice so that it was a sweetheart neckline – you can see the original here:

So basically I folded the shoulders over, sewed a seam, then trimmed the excess and neatened the lot up. Hardly professional, but it got the job done 🙂
