Once in a Blue Moon

Dress: Maggy Boutique via Nordstrom
Stockings: Secrets In Lace
Shoes: Wittner
Here’s a confession for you – this dress was a Bit Too Big when I bought it last year and post painful breakup with the Fuckwit Ex I seem to have lost some of my curves, meaning that it’s actually kind of swimming on me now. I took some photos earlier, but they looked a bit silly, so I pinned the excess back in a bulldog clip and tried again. Then… walked out the door.
It wasn’t until later that day when I bent down to pick something up and the bulldog clip fell off that I realised it was still attached.
Yep. I’m all class.

  1. you are all class lil, i love that story!! and i LOVE the dress, but losing curves just means an excuse to buy more. xx

  2. Well, you know, with such a lovely dress, and a lovely model, I'm sure it must have looked like one of these cute old "oops pin up" vignettes

  3. I once lost 14kg after a breakup because I was so miserable I just couldn't bring myself to be interested in food and eating it. I forced myself to eat for fear of ruining my metabolism, but ended up between sizes 10-12, which for me, was something I never expected. That said, I was not healthy and I was miserable. And of course, when finally I started eating again, it came back with a lot more of its friends!

Still, it was nice to accidentally run into the ex while I was that thin – I think we were both a bit surprised at my appearance.

Anyway, all that's to say: I understand that loss often takes with it your appetite. That is a lovely dress though.

  4. Thanks, Maniguette!

Hi Bec, it DOES, doesn't it? I've been really naughty over the last two days, too. Stay tuned!

    Thanks, Vanoue, and Beth 🙂

Lol, I love that idea, Helene! When I relive the incident (as I tend to do with all embarrassing mishaps) I shall imagine it so.

    Thankyou m.

I think I will, Sandra – I have to get a zipper replaced on another dress, so I'll have them done at the same time.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Suze. I've also come off birth control for the first time in, oh, 13 years, and I think that's making a difference, too.

Thanks Luinae – I love it. If only it were more readily available

    Thanks Anon 🙂

LOL, Glad to know I'm not alone! Thanks, Paige!
