Yay! It’s spring!
Actually, it’s been spring for a while, but it’s been far too cold to go outside in anything floral that I own and damnit: the First Spring Post (ever, folks! I haven’t been around that long!) for Frocks and Frou Frou must be floral.
I wasn’t sure how this gorgeous Queen dress would hold up to being layered over a shirt, but I’m actually quite liking it. The shirt – from Dream Diva – has a great slim shape and doesn’t bulk up under the lines of the sheath dress.
Teamed with this impulse bought belt (from one of those nasty accessory shops that you find in airports) the dress has a much more a-line silhouette than I recall. It’s all very girly and pretty.
Last night I went to a launch party at Fokus as part of the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (they have some really interesting new pieces, including a striking tribal inspired range). It was such a warm night it left me longing for the warmer months… I’m going to have to give up my cardigans and boots for a while, but I’m looking forward to reacquainting myself with all my florals
Don't speak so soon… wasn't it more than a bit chilly this evening? 🙁
First thing's first: I love your style and I am eternally jealous of your waist-to-hip ratio. Mine seems to be… the other way round.
Secondly: Queen dresses.
1. What are the sizes like? I fit anywhere between 14 and Oh-my-god-is-this-really-an-18?… but I'm desperately in love with the Carousel dress (and can't get it in Perth – boo). I know the dress goes up to a 14, but it's generally with my waist that I have problems, and it's a nice flowy dress so the 14 might be okay.
2. What are the prices like?
I would love your feedback 🙂

The pattern on that dress is just devine.. and I love that belt so much!
Great outfit as usual.
You have fantastic style and can actually pull off florals- I can't pull off florals without looking like a little girl.
I love dresses layered with long-sleeved blouses! It's one of my favorite looks. You look great here!
love the dress- looks great over the white shirt.
I love spring- except for the fact that summer follows (too hot)
i love the floral! such a pretty outfit. and the shoes are great too 🙂
Great dress; the print reminds me of something Jennifer Aniston wore to a premiere earlier this year.
