Today the mercury has dropped mercifully into the twenties, and thank God for that!
It’s a brief respite (we’ll be back into the thirties next week), and there’s still no sign of the rain that we so desperately need, but I’m still counting my blessings.
Seeing all the new autumn winter ranges hitting the stores makes me long for crisp autumn days, and the chill of a winter’s morning. I want to get my red boots back into regular rotation, and I’m already thinking about which pair of Duo Boots would be perfect over jeans. (Right now the Avingnon are at the top of the list).
What are you looking forward to, come the cooler months?
I love this high waist action! I’m the opposite of you. Here in NZ, the chill is definitely coming and I am not looking forward to it! Oh and you’ve been linked 😉
I just bought a pair of Embody jeans and I can’t wait for it to get cool enough to do more than pat them occasionally!
That is the best skirt in the world! You look so good! I’m quite scared of the high waist action but you have inspired me.
Yay, Calliecat! Which ones did you get? I love a good high waisted skirt, BTW – I’m mulling over this one from Jane BonBon:

ana b. Thanks for the link! Think of boots, coats (coats are going to be BIG this year, apparently) and those gorgeous winter colours like berry, and cobalt… yum!
i’ve said it before, no doubt i’ll say it again, the simple things always work best!! LOVE the skirt and the green cardi, a little splash of fun! oh and i LOVE the jane bonbon skirt – i am thinking i might need to invest in a cord skirt for winter…you have absolutely inspired me to go high waist!
you look lovely in this photo. the good fit and cut of the skirt, the proportional and eye-catching belt and the lighter shirt make the tucked-in look that so few larger women venture. but the results are superb.
