Roses in Winter

Top: Sussan
Skirt: Portmans
Shoes: Wittner
Headband: Squid Sense
Brrrr! It’s a brisk and blowsy day today. I scurried outside in the late afternoon and shucked my jacket to take this photo, but as you can see the conditions weren’t exactly conducive to stylish posing so this is the outfit shot you get!
I haven’t done a wash in a week or so, so my winter wardrobe was down to its bare bones. I was staring at a cupboard full of empty hangers this morning and decided (out of necessity!) that just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean I can’t wear my summer skirts and dresses.
This Portmans skirt seems to cross seasons particularly successfully. Teamed with a pair of opaques and a warm top it works just as well on cold grey days like today as it does in the sunny summer months.
I’m on to my third wash of the day already, so hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to find something to wear a bit more easily.
