Tag! You’re it!

I just got back from a Sales Conference to discover that I’ve been tagged – not once, but TWICE by two of my favourite fellow-bloggers!

First up, Sally from Georgie Love (Mama of the utterly scrumptious Ruby, and fur-Mama of the equally adorabubble Georgie) has tagged me on the 6/6 photo whatsit.
That is, I’m to open up the 6th photo album on my computer, and select the 6th photo in the album. Which is this:
It’s from the wedding of my old housemate – he’s an amazingly tall man, with a big, big heart. The first time I met him he towered over me in steel-capped boots and a long black jacket and if when I cricked my neck back I discovered the broad shoulders sported a shaved head. Later he admitted that the shaved head was in support of a workmate who’d been diagnosed with cancer, and that’s really all you need to know about him. He’s one of the most generous and gentle men I’ve had the privilege of knowing.

His wife is tiny and it always gives me a giggle when I see them coming down the street together.
So I’m paying forward the Tag to Sonya, Fiona and Nina.

Second up, Chantelle tagged me for a Blog Spot.

Behold: My blogging mecca for Frocks & Frou Frou:

I’m actually a little embarrassed at how spartan it is, but it’s a wee little Ikea desk so there’s not a lot of room for clutter.

On the walls I have a heap of pictures that have been done for me by kids that I’ve given books to. My favourite is just out of sight on the left from the six-year old son of a friend. It stars “Super Lilli” and “Dr Himself” (It must be stated that Himself is not, in actuality, a doctor).

For comparison I thought I’d show you (Dr) Himself’s side of the study:

Now THAT’s what a desk is supposed to look like!

The Rules for Blog Spot are:

1. Once you are tagged, post a picture of where you blog. This might mean a picture of your cozy bed, or your office at work (you naughty employee, you!) Feel free to be creative, but be honest–if your desk is usually covered in Ritz crackers and love letters to Brad Pitt, then show us!
2. Feel free to tell us a little about your space, or explain certain items in more detail. Or not.
3. Link back to this post. (I want to see how far this goes!)
4. Tag five other bloggers to show their blog spots.
5. If you are tagged and do not participate, you will become allergic to cabbage.

I’m tagging Hippolyta, Deborah-Lee, Lady Smaggle, Shauna, and the gals at Oh What Larks

  1. Shamefully, my desk looks more like Dr Himself’s desk than yours. The desk itself is pretty big but seems to cluttered with all kinds of crap. I do tidy it from time to time yet ten minutes later the junk seems to have spread to fill the available space.

  2. I love this idea and I JUST started a blog – will get a picture going soon and will pass it on to all of my Etsy blogging friends!

    I love your blog!!

  3. Haa!

I don’t like cabbage. I need an excuse not to eat them!!

I shall post some maybe on Sunday. I’m in the middle of changing my space.. so at the moment it’s an empty space on my balcony.

For the rest of the time it’s .. well you’ll just have to wait and see now won’t you!

I’m not sure who I can tag. I’ve seen this on a lot of blogs this week. My readers already seem to have done this!! 😀

  4. Well Sarah, you know what they say about a messy desk being the sign of a tidy mind! I have this big overstuffed set of bookshelves next to my desk, and I often just randomly shove things like postcards between the books to clear space on the desk. Then months or years later when I pull a book out I get little surprises.

Thanks for the kind comment, elsiee!

  5. wait, wait, wait – hold up a sec! i am confused (and possibly not very smart at this wee hour), is that your himself marrying someone else?? maybe i shouldn’t ask, to avoid looking really silly! i love your desk lil (especially the green) – the smaller the better i say, it always means less clutter.

  6. Lol, yeah I just reread that, and that is what it seems to say! Nope, when Himself and I moved out together we moved in with a third person – this is his wedding.

  7. a silly question please??? how do I “tag” my blogger friends? Being so new I haven’t a clue (oh i rhymed how Dr Seuss of me!) thanks!

  8. What great colours you have in your house, Elsiee!
As far as tagging goes I’m a bit newish to it myself – I think if you know they read your blog regularly it OK just to link to them on your blog, otherwise you can shoot them off a “comment” on their own blog to let them know they’ve been tagged.
